AgraFlora Acquires License for Edibles Production

AgraFlora Organics International Inc. announced launching various edible cannabis products in partnership with the large-scale Houweling Nurseries Greenhouse located in East Ladner.

The line of cannabis-infused edibles would include pectin and gelatin gummies infused with cannabis, hard candy, and sugar-free variants of the gummies and candies. The aim is to begin wholesale transactions by May 2021.

AgraFlora Organics International obtained a license from Health Canada for its recently acquired 51,500-square-foot, fully-automated, and GMP-certified Winnipeg Edibles Manufacturing Facility.

The research license will enable it to conduct on-site assessments of taste, smell, visual appearance, and the texture of the products at its Delta 3 cannabis facility.

According to a statement from AgraFlora, the year 2019 was a year of transformation; the year 2020 kicked off the company’s plan to manufacture cannabis 2.0 products, build an advanced production facility, and initiate worldwide distribution.

AgraFlora’s equity stakes had increased by 70% after entering into a joint venture with the Delta Greenhouse Facility (also known as the Propagation Services Canada), the second-largest greenhouse in Canada with an area of 2.2 million sq ft.

Brandon Boddy, CEO of AgraFlora Organics, stated,

The Delta greenhouse facility is a semi-open Venlo greenhouse that is capable of conducting the most technically advanced greenhouse operations.

Currently, the construction of dry room infrastructure is under progress for the Delta Greenhouse Facility, after which it will be able to store 500,000 grams of dried saleable products.
